Cheese twists

Ingredients

1 Large yolk
½ tsp salt
1 sheet of puff pastry
1/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
Ground black pepper
Handful flour, to roll pastry on

Procedure

  1. First, sprinkle a little flour on the surface to be used for pressing the pastry. Using a rolling pin, roll the pastry until it is thin.
  2. In a small bowl, beat the egg and add 1 tbsp of water. Using a pastry brush, coat all of each pressed pastry with an egg wash.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, place the cheddar cheese and the parmesan cheese and mix it together.
  4. Once the cheese is mixed place half of it on top of each puff pastry with the egg wash.
  5. Sprinkle Salt and pepper around the top of the cheese.
  6. Then, place another sheet on top of it. Lightly brush the surface of the second sheet of egg wash.
  7. Place all remaining cheese, black pepper and salt on top of the second sheet.
  8. Sprinkle a little flour on the surface and roll it with a rolling pin. Yes, directly on top of the cheese.
  9. Using a knife, slice it into thin rectangles. And twist it one by one. Then place it on the prepared baking sheets.
  10. Bake the cheese twist until it is golden brown. When it is done, let cool completely on sheets. Carefully remove from parchment and serve.
